Dining Room Dance Floor: Woodard's Flying Juke: Supper Series & Juke Joint Pop Up

$275.00

Woodard’s Flying Juke, is a traveling supper series and road show. Featuring AfroCarolina based or born talent, heritage foodways and folklore. We are exploring joy space and Juke culture through food, music and play. Accepting all imaginative interpretations, expressions and Era’s of dress — long as it’s inspired by the Juke Joint. We will remember and imagine how we’ve found joy, home, and safe space in the past, present and future.

First stop. We will land in Durham NC at Nana’s Rockwood on Sunday, April 27th. If you’re also flying in, make sure to subscribe to Gabrielle’s newsletter for Hotel suggestions and other happenings about town that weekend. We suggest you take off work on Monday, if you can!

This supper series was developed as a part of the Woodard’s Garage Restoration Project: a preservation effort that will turn a historic, Black owned mechanic shop into a supper club, a multi-disciplinary artist studio and workshop. You can find out more and donate here.
